MISSED: Kyle Stock.

MISSED: Kyle Stock.

A MOTORCYCLIST died after he lost control on a bend and collided with a lorry travelling in the opposite direction, an inquest has heard.

Kyle Stock, 25, was riding his Honda CBR 600 when he crashed on Saturday May 26 near Grassington in North Yorkshire.

At an inquest in Skipton, North Yorkshire coroner Rob Turnbull recorded a verdict of accidental death on Kyle, who grew up in Birkenshaw, East Bierley and Hunsworth before moving to Birstall with his partner Emma Bloice.

Kyle, a former pupil of Whitcliffe Mount School in Cleckheaton, had previously served in the army in the Royal Signals, and had served in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.

He had left the army last September and was due to start a new job as an engineer the Monday after his tragic death.

After his death, his parents Brian and Joanne paid tribute to their son.

Joanne said: “Everybody knew Kyle, and everybody loved him. He had so many friends, and when you became a friend you stayed with him for life.”

His friends Andrew Jenkins and Luke Maud said: “He was the sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day, always having a laugh and a joke.

“We are lucky to have had him as our best friend.”
