Female worker robbed of pub games takings

A FEMALE worker was robbed after she emptied a pub fruit machine.

The woman had emptied money from the machine at the Toby Jug pub in Listing Lane, Littletown, on Wednesday at about 2pm.

She was putting a case filled with the takings in her car when a man came up to her and threatened her.

He grabbed the case but the woman did not let go.

The thief dragged her to a waiting car.

Insp Tim Holland from Spen Valley NPT said when the woman saw the car she let go of the case and fell to the ground.

She suffered minor injuries in the fall and was left shaken and upset.

The thief got in the car and was driven off by another man.

The car, a silver Honda, was later found burnt out in Nibshaw Lane, Gomersal.

The thief was in his mid to late 20s and spoke with a local accent.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Det Cons Peter Usher on the non emergency number 101.

Anonymous calls can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
