Fresh partnership scheme at schools
WORKING TOGETHER Pupils from each of the schools in Spenborough Co-operative Trust.
Seven Spen schools have come together to form a working partnership called the Spenborough Co-operative Trust.
The trust has been formed by Cawley Lane, Fairfield, Headlands, Leeside, Littletown, Roberttown and Spen Valley Sports College to share ideas and support pupils and their families.
The schools held a competition to design a logo and strapline for the scheme, which was won by Lily Stocks and Farrah Shabir with the strapline All Equal. All Different. All Unique.
Cawley Lane headteacher Stuart Harris said all staff visited each school and had the chance to show off their own school at a launch last week.
He said: “The excitement and enthusiasm was palpable when everyone got together. The air was abuzz with ideas passing between colleagues. This fresh injection of ideas and enthusiasm is now filtering down into the classroom of every school, improving the quality of education for our children.
“We have only just set out but already the effects are being felt daily in the classroom.”
