Two men are starting life sentences for the murder of 20-year-old Josh Hirst.

After a four week trial, Joe Church and Aaron Smith were found guilty of killing Josh, who worked for his father’s firm in Liversedge, and was described as a ‘beautiful, kind human being’.

Church’s then girlfriend Kirstie Rainford, of Springbank Drive, Liversedge, is also behind bars for helping Josh’s killers in the hours after his death.

Judge Peter Collier QC told Church: “One of the worst aggravating features is that you involved an otherwise decent young woman in this and have ruined her life.”
