East Bierley pupils jumped to it when they decided to help children less fortunate than themselves.

The children at the village primary school held a Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day, and paid £1 to swap their school uniform for festive jumpers.
Last week they invited Joan Cooper and Eve Richardson from the charity’s Cleckheaton branch to come into school to receive the £191 proceeds.
Joan said: “Thanks to headteacher Marcus Newby and his staff for allowing the event to take place and also to the parents for providing the jumpers.
“The branch also wishes to thank all the Guardian readers who support our fund-raising events throughout the year.”
