Murder investigation launched after Halifax man's body found in Dewsbury

DETECTIVES investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Dewsbury in March have arrested two men on suspicion of murder.

The body of 37-year-old Polish national Marcin Siarczylski (pictured) was found in Low Mill Lane, Ravensthorpe on March 14.

Two men aged 25 and 20 were arrested arrested yesterday (Wednesday) on suspicion of murder. A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three men arrested are from the Ravensthorpe area.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Swift, of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, said: “We would like to thank the public for their response to our appeal last week for information about Mr Siarczylski’s lifestyle or his movements prior to his death.

“As a result new information has come to light which suggests that Mr Siarczylski may have been murdered.

“Three men have been arrested in connection with this inquiry and remain in custody tonight.”

Police previously said Mr Siarczylski had lived in the UK for 12 years and, as of July 2014, was living in Huddersfield Road in Halifax.
