New Lane is a rat run
MAY I say I am pleased traffic lights have been installed at the Pack Horse.
They have been needed for years and I hope that they will be permanent.
They will cut a lot of cars from speeding and hopefully drivers will be more careful.
As for P Spence and D Rogers saying New Lane is not a rat run, I wonder if they have stood on the pavement there and seen the speed at which drivers come up and down – even when cars are parked on the left going from Halifax Road.
It is a wonder someone has not been killed over the years. Speeds of 50-60mph are not uncommon.
