Top council officials have visited one of North Kirklees’s most successful businesses.

Kirklees chief executive Adrian Lythgo and director of communities and transformation Ruth Redfern were joined by ward councillors Robert Light, Andrew Palfreeman and Liz Smaje for their visit to the Park House Healthcare corporate headquarters in Birkenshaw.

They were on a tour of the company to gain a first-hand experience of how thriving local businesses operate.

During his visit Mr Lythgo presented 12 members of staff with Professional Train the Trainer Qualifications, following an internal training programme.

This was the company’s fourth presentation of staff achievements in the last six months, underpinning its ongoing commitment to staff development.

Sales and marketing director Peter Carroll said: “I am delighted to see so many employees achieving these qualifications.”

Mr Lythgo added: “I am pleased to have been invited to Park House Healthcare and I look forward hearing about the company’s achievements in the future.”

Parkhouse is a leading supplier of specialist pressure relieving and pressure reducing equipment, hospital beds and moving and handling solutions to the NHS, community and nursing home sectors.
