Pupils’ lessons in Victorian time travel

CHILDREN from a Liversedge school stepped back in time to enjoy a day in the life of Victorian pupils.

The children from Millbridge School visited Red House Museum in Gomersal for a Victorian day and dressed up in period costume to make the experience more authentic.

The girls wore long black skirts and mop caps while the boys wore breeches, waistcoats and hats. They played traditional games such as flip books and building blocks and even made sketches of the intricate wallpaper patterns at the historic museum.
