TALENTED school pupils took part in a singing concert with thousands of other children.

The pupils, from Hartshead School, went to the Young Voices concert in Sheffield last week to perform with 8,000 other school pupils as well as professionals Connie Talbot from Britain’s Got Talent; singer-songwriter Randolph Matthews and street dancers Urban Strides.

Music co-ordinator Alison Bray said: “This has become an annual event and opportunity for the children at Hartshead. It gives them the opportunity to sing a range of songs along with another 8000 primary children alongside professional artists. The children attend an afternoon’s rehearsal and then take part in the evening concert which is attended by their parents.

“The children had a fabulous time singing and learning new dance moves.”
