Robbery in Cleckheaton

A ROBBERY took place in a shop in Albion Street yesterday morning.

Police officers were called to a business in Albion Street at around 10.20am on Tuesday after reports of a robbery in progress.

Officers attended and active enquiries are ongoing into the incident, in which it is believed two masked men forced their way into the premises, threatening a female member of staff who was left with a minor injury

The men escaped with a quantity of cash, leaving in a small grey car. No-one was injured in the offence which remains under investigation.

The suspects were described as two white men in their mid to late twenties. They wore face coverings and were of medium build.
