School team 50 years ago

HALF a century has now passed since this photograph was taken at Millbridge National School.

The picture was snapped to commemorate the school football team's 1959-60 season. It was loaned to us by Bob Jagger, who is first left on the front row.

The full line-up is, back row from left: Colin Smith, Michael Sheard, headmaster Mr H Mellor, Tony Bradby and David Terry. Middle row: Kenneth Hemingway, David Binns, Kenneth Powell (captain), Roger Collinson and Brian Rangeley. Front row: Bob Jagger, Philip Hirst and David Butterworth.
