IDENTICAL twin brothers are auctioning themselves off to fund a charity trip to Borneo.

Carl and Kelvin Wolfenden, 15, are putting themselves up to work for half a day each as the third and fourth lot in an auction on Sunday.

They are raising money for their volunteering trip to the Indonesian island next summer.

The pair, who grew up in Birkenshaw, are also auctioning a boxing glove signed by Amir Khan and a print of a famous painting by artist Alex Corina, to whom the family is related.

Kelvin said: “We are giving up four hours of our time. We’re doing it separately to see who can get the most money!”

The boys need to raise £8,000 between them before next summer’s trip, when they will be helping with building work and teaching English as well as a five day jungle trek.

Carl said: “It will be hard because we have got to do a lot of work but it will be a good experience.

“We have come up with some other fundraising ideas too – we will be sitting in a bath of beans in October in the Kirkgate Centre in Bradford.”

Tickets for the auction are £15, which includes a three course meal. It takes place at the Wheatsheaf pub, Gomersal Lane, Little Gomersal, from 6.30pm. Entertainment will be provided by Elvis tribute act Elvis Brettini.

The family thanked Wheatsheaf landlord Adam Writon who is donating the food.
