A photographer is offering Spen’s cutest couple a free photoshoot and framed picture to celebrate 14 years in Heckmondwike.
Photoshoot in Market Street is marking its 14th anniversary today, on Valentine’s Day – and owner Jonathan Wall is inviting loved up couples to write in to the Guardian for the chance to win the shoot.
He said: “When we opened, our aim was to create beautiful pictures for people.
“We opened on Valentine’s day and that’s because we love to take pictures and it’s all about love!
“Heckmondwike is wonderful. People have kept coming and keeping us here, so we are offering a free photoshoot and framed portrait as a bit of a thank you for everyone’s support over the years. Whether it’s a passport photo or a proper portrait, we want people to come back so we don’t want to offer anything but greatness.
“When we opened, the first couple of years were brilliant but then three, four and five were awful. We nearly went bust but we managed to pull it back and since digital came we have never looked back.
“There was a lot of wastage before but now with digital people can look on the screen and choose what they want and we don’t have to print every photo out. The digital age has transformed everything.
“It has been a real rollercoaster of ups and downs but now we are fixed and here to stay. We can’t believe we have been this successful.”
To win the free shoot and framed portrait, write to Lauren Ballinger at the Spenborough Guardian, 17 Wellington Road, Dewsbury, WF13 1HQ or firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address and contact details, saying why you’re Spen’s cutest couple.
Entries must reach us by Monday February 24.
