A Gomersal mum who heads a fitness group has been invited to lunch with the Prime Minister on Monday.
Anna Parker, head of Gomersal Mums on the Run, received an email this week inviting her down to Number 10 to discuss her group’s role in Sport Relief.
Anna, who will travel to meet Mr Cameron on Monday, said: “I was very surprised at first, as you can imagine!
“But we are one of the largest Sport Relief groups in our area, and he is interested to speak about what we are up to at Gomersal Mums on the Run.”
Anna set up the mums group in 2012 to help other mums keep fit. It has since grown to be more than 50-strong, and the group now has a series of charity runs lined up throughout the year.
Anna expects about 50 willing runners to turn up and take part in the Sport Relief Mile with her team, Gomersal Minis on the Run.
She admitted to having more than a few butterflies in her stomach in preparation for her meeting with the PM!
She said: “I am really excited – it’s very surreal and strange, I feel like I am only getting people to go for a bit of a run around!
“People keep telling me to ask the Prime Minister different things, but I want to enjoy the day!”
The group will be running a one-mile course for Sport Relief on Sunday March 23.

The Gomersal Mums on the Run will be doing the Sport Relief mile on the track at Princess Mary playing fields, Littletown, on Sunday March 23.
The event is part of the Kirklees Active Spenborough Sport Relief Mile – where participants are encouraged to run, jog, hop or bounce their mile.
The fun kicks off at 9.30am at the track, and refreshments are available for thirsty runners.
