There is no charge for the rides but donations are welcomed.

The Safe Anchor Trust was set up in 1995 to support and continue a canal trips project developed by the Probation Service in 1993.

By December 2015, more than 220,000 passengers from 750 community groups had enjoyed outings on the trust’s boats.

The main aim of the trust is to provide access to the canals for special needs groups, those with health and mobility problems, and socially disadvantaged groups.
