Teenager's condition now 'stable'
A TEENAGER who suffered serious head injuries in an attack on Friday night is now said to be in a stable condition
The 19-year-old was attacked just before midnight in a ginnel off Leeds Road, Liversedge, which runs from the A62 into the Firthcliffe Estate.
Police say that two men, both in their 40s, have now been arrested in connection with the incident. Both have been bailed pending police inquiries.
Initially the victim's condition was described as 'critical' but on Sunday his condition had improved and he is now stable.
Leeds Road was closed off from its entrance to the Firthcliffe Estate to the Swan traffic lights while officers carried out their investigation.
The road was closed throughout Saturday morning, re-opening just before mid-day.
People living in the Leeds Road area say they heard a commotion and shouting around midnight in a ginnel which runs from the top of the flats in Firthcliffe to where they join the old Firthcliffe Estate.
