A group dedicated to improving a recreation ground in Scholes are on the lookout for green-fingered folk to give them a helping hand.
The Friends of Scholes Rec group recently received a donation of 105 baby trees from the Woodland Trust, and are seeking help from residents to help plant them.
Cleckheaton councillor John Lawson, who has been heavily involved with the group paid tribute to campaigners.
He said: “It has been really exciting to work alongside local people who are really committed to making a difference in their community.
“The hard work that they have put in will transform Scholes Rec and make it a real asset for future generations.”
The event takes place on 22-23 March from 10am-4pm. For more information on how you can help, visit http://scholesrec.wordpress.com.
