Week of disruption as roadworks take place at Chain Bar

Essential resurfacing works are due to start on Bradford Road on Monday, which are expected to last for just over a week.

The work is taking place on the stretch of road from Chain bar Roundabout to just past Wyke Lane.

Most of the roadworks will take place between 9.30am to 3.30pm in order to reduce disruption during rush hours.

Whilst roadworks are taking place, there will be no access onto Bradford Road from Wyke Lane.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place which could lead to some delays and disruption. Drivers are advised to leave extra time for their journey, and if possible use alternative routes.

Road users should look out for signs indicating the diversion route – the route follows Wyke Lane, Westfield Lane, A58 Whitehall Road, Bradford Road and vice-versa.

Signs will be put up before the work starts and nearby homes and businesses will be kept informed of developments.
