Up to 400 Yorkshire ambulance members will strike as the dispute over patient and staff safety issues rumbles on.
Unite claimed that the management at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust had repeatedly snubbed the union’s attempts during the summer to hold talks under the auspices of the conciliation service, Acas.
Ambulance staff will strike on Friday August 29, from 3pm to 9am.
They will strike again on Tuesday September 2, from 3pm to 9pm.
Unite regional officer Terry Cunliffe said: “Our members firmly believe that the public deserve a first-class, fully resourced ambulance service.
“They have shown on a number of occasions since April 2013, they have been prepared to strike to strongly make that case.”
