Young artists exhibit their creations

THE artistic efforts of Gomersal schoolchildren were exhibited in their very own sculpture park.

Pupils at Gomersal First School worked with several artists during art week, when they incorporated sculpture, textiles and ICT.

The exhibits included a dragon and bicycle wheels which had fabric woven in to them.

Each child also made two little models, in school uniform colours, inspired by the work of sculptor Antony Gormley who created a project called Field for the British Isles which consisted of 40,000 small terracotta figures.

All the work was displayed in the school field at the end of the week for parents to see what the children had created.
