THE M62 will be closed overnight this weekend for essential building work.
A stretch of the motorway between Junction 27, at Gildersome, and Junction 28, at Tingley, will be closed from 8pm on Saturday until 8am on Sunday.
The motorway will be closed in both directions and sign-posted diversions will be in place along the A650.
This is the third overnight closure in recent months, as work gathers pace on the £150m managed motorway scheme.
When the work is completed later this year, it will be the first such scheme in the region to include variable speed limits and the use of the hard shoulder during peak times.
The Highways Agency has said further partial closures between Junction 25, at Brighouse, and Junction 30, at Rothwell, could be required between now and November.
The managed motorway scheme is scheduled to open to traffic in 2013-14.
