Man committed lewd act in front of young children in park

Police are searching for a tattooed man who committed a lewd act in front of young girl children in a park.

The incident happened when two 29-year-old men were walking along an isolated footpath in Earlsheaton Park, Dewsbury, with a with an eight-year-old girl.

They then witnessed another man committing a lewd act in public, who also made comments to one of the men while continuing his actions.

It happened between 6.45pm and 7pm on Tuesday, May 17.

PC Rosaleen Hird, of Dewsbury and Mirfield Partnership Working Area, said: “This man has reportedly been committing a lewd act in the vicinity of the victim’s young child and other children.

“The victim has been able to provide a detailed description of the man involved, which includes a distinctive facial tattoo.

“We would urge anyone who believes they know the identity of this man to please contact us immediately.

“Similarly, we are keen to speak to anyone else who was in the park area who recalls seeing this man.”

Police said the suspect is described as white, aged between 40 and 50-years-old, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall, of skinny build, with dark brown hair tied in to a ponytail.

He had a cobweb tattoo under his right eye and was wearing black or navy jeans, white pumps and had a black bag on his back with string straps.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
