A man was jailed for 80 weeks after police discovered cannabis growing in two separate houses where he was living.

Leeds Crown Court heard this week that, on February 15 2013, two police officers found 18 cannabis plants growing along with lights, plant foot and spare pots, at a house in Prospect Mill Medows in Cleckheaton. Terry told officers he was experimenting growing cannabis and was released on bail.

At the end of June that year a landlord of an address in Staincliffe Hall Road, Batley reported cannabis plants growing in his property. Police discovered 12 cannabis plants growing in two tents in an upstairs bedroom and later found out the property had been let out to Terry.
