An exhibition of mixed-media artwork is on display at Mirfield’s Creative Arts Hub.

Textiles, sculpture and stained glass have been used to present a series of individual responses to the word Entangled.

The works come from art collective Lateral, who “create dynamic and tactile pieces based around a common theme”.

Artist Alison Carthy explores themes ranging from reflections on nature to recollections of the miners strike. Nick Claiden focuses on the way communities are bound by modern communication.

Other artists from Lateral who will be showcasing their work include Margaret Haynes, Samina Begum, Rachael Walker, Judy Tadman and Janet Clark.

The project is ongoing and will be developed further at future exhibitions.

Entry to the gallery in Huddersfield Road is free and the exhibition is open until June 7.
