Pupils have a rhyming time with poet

Laughter and fun were the order of the day when a poet visited Hartshead School.
Craig Bradley, who writes poems for children, visited the school and made up poems on the spot to delight and entertain pupils and staff.
School bursar Kaye Bolland said everyone was thrilled with Craig’s visit.
“The children loved it – they were roaring with laughter, and the staff did too,” she said.
“The children gave him topics and he made poems up on the spot about them. One boy said he wanted to be a rock star and was sliding on his knees and playing air guitar to a poem Craig made up about him.
“Afterwards he signed copies of his book, , and parents were invited to come in. 
“Pupils aged four to 11 were there and even the staff were chuckling.”
