Royal greetings were sent from Buckingham Palace to Liversedge, for the 100th birthday celebrations of Nora Swallow.
Nora was thrown a celebration to remember at Ings House Nursing home, Liversedge, where she lives.
More than 30 members of family turned up for her birthday buffet, which featured two cakes and entertainment from singer Nigel Roe – who performed Pack Up Your Troubles – first recorded the year Nora was born.
Val Maltas, activities co-ordinator at Ings House, said: “Nora thoroughly enjoyed the day – so many of her family turned up.”
“She got so many presents and cards, and even a telegram from the Queen!”
