HARTSHEAD Junior and Infant School has been praised after receiving another good Ofsted report - just in time for Christmas.
The government’s inspectors judged the school good overall, with oustanding elements, proving that the kids and teachers are on the right track.
The report highlighted good areas such as the pupil’s behaviour, while the school’s ‘outstanding’ areas included their extra-curriculum activities along with pupil’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Acting headteacher Adrian Cresswell said: “I am very proud of the children and staff. Our creative curriculum is based around the school motto- Explore, Discover, Enjoy and Achieve - and our children clearly enjoy coming to school.
“I am particularly pleased that Ofsted recognised the children’s outstanding behaviour. We are a small family school and looking after each other is a key part of the Hartshead ethos.”
As a reward for their excellent behaviour, pupils were treated to a Christmas dinner before they took to the stage for their production of their ‘Wriggly Nativity’ before the end of term.
