Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with a theft from Sainsbury’s in Gomersal last week.

The male suspect is believed to have shoplifted meat from the store, on Oxford Road, around 6pm last Friday, June 12.

Police Constable Chris Birkenshaw from the Batley & Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team said,

“The male suspect entered the store, placed a pack of meat in a bag he was carrying and then left the store making no attempt to pay. He was described as a white male in his mid 20s with short brown hair. He was around 5’8” tall, of slim build and wore blue jogging bottoms and a black t-shirt.

“I would ask anyone who recognises the male pictured, or who has any information that could assist the investigation, to contact the police via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
