Spring was in the air at St Mary’s School in Gomersal as they went yellow to raise money for the Marie Curie cancer charity.

The school adopted the charity for its Lent Appeal and held several yellow-themed events.

Children were given daffodil bulbs to grow in pots in return for a donation to the charity, and they have enjoyed watching the bulbs grow into colourful plants.

They were also invited to bring in something yellow for a colour-themed tombola which was held just before the Easter break.
