PUPILS at Hightown School have enjoyed a lesson in time travel.

The year three and four children have been learning all about what life was like in Tudor Britain, in the time of Henry VIII and his six wives.

They enjoyed researching and exploring life as a poor and rich Tudor, Tudor houses and Tudor food.

As part of their studies they held a period theme day where they dressed as peasants, ate a Tudor feast and took part in Tudor activities designed and directed by staff from Clarke Hall educational centre in Wakefield.
