A SIKH man was left with a fractured eye socket in a racially aggravated attack.

The 20 year old was walking to Junction Superstores in Batley Road when he was approached by a group of four men.

They shouted racist remarks in Urdu before assaulting him, leaving him a fractured eye socket as well as cuts and bruises to his face and hands.

The men were in their early 20s and wearing hooded jackets. One was wearing a cap.

The incident happened at 8.25pm on Friday. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Julie Holloway at Dewsbury police station on 101.
