Rangers’ top spot bid for Heckmondwike songwriter’s Orbison hit.

A SONG penned by a Heckmondwike artist more than 40 years ago could hit the number one spot next month with a football campaign.

Glasgow Rangers fans are releasing Penny Arcade by Sammy King - and Sammy has agreed to give all the royalties to the Erskine Hospital, which cares for former servicemen and women in Scotland.

Now the fans are hoping that as many people as possible will buy the single and raise thousands for the charity - as well as getting the song to the top of the charts.
