A Garden of Remembrance will be unveiled on Monday by the Spen Royal British Legion.
The garden will, for the third year running, be created in front of the town hall in Cleckheaton for people to place crosses in remembrance of relatives and friends.
The garden will be dedicated on Monday at 10.30am by the Rev Brunel James. Also present will be dignitaries – who will lay crosses on behalf of their organisations – as well as the public. Afterwards there will be refreshments in town hall.
On Remembrance Sunday, the parade assembles at the town hall at 2.15pm for a march off at 2.30pm. The service will be held at St John’s Church at 3pm – not St Paul’s, as reported in last week’s Guardian.
