PUPILS have been climbing mountains for their latest project.

Year five children at Hightown school enjoyed a Nepal day which included a special themed lunch prepared by school cook Mrs Sharron Forde.

Teacher Lois Stevenson said: “The class had a wonderful day exploring the culture and traditions of Nepal. They researched and created a Nepal factfile and some wonderful pieces of Nepalese related art work. They are discovering about the Himalayas and Mount Everest and each child created their own prayer flag in anticipation for reaching base camp.”
