A Spen runner could smash a world record after being named the fastest playing card on two legs.
Lisa Wright, 44, from Gomersal, looks set to break the Guinness World Record for being the fastest marathon runner dressed as a playing card.
She finished the London Marathon in just under five hours dressed as a Queen of Hearts playing card.
She is hoping to get official confirmation this month.
Lisa, who has already run 11 marathons, was raising money for Heart UK, which supported her parents who were suffering from high cholesterol.
She said: “People were so used to me running a marathon, I decided I wanted to do something different and run in fancy dress.
“I got in touch with Guinness Records and they told me that no-one has done it as a playing card.
“I love running and I have met a lot of lovely people on the way.”
Meanwhile, Leanne Craven, who works at Flexitallic, Cleckheaton, described the feeling of crossing the finish line in five hours 11 minutes.
She said: “I was elated. After the first half it just seemed like it was going to go on forever but you just keep pushing on. The crowds are amazing and they get you through.
“Crossing the line I felt overwhelmed and I burst into tears. It was the most difficult thing I have ever done but I felt an amazing sense of achievement.”
Leanne has raised £1,800 for children’s charity WellChild and The Jennifer Trust for children with spinal problems in children.
Ben Pinfield, from Cleckheaton, completed the marathon in 3h 38m.
He even got to shake entrepreneur Richard Branson’s hand on the finish line.
He said: “I finished with three very big blisters. I raised over £1,400 for Martin House children’s hospice so thanks to everyone who sponsored me.”
