Strike at tip halted
Workers at the Weaving Lane site had planned a 24-hour strike for Wednesday following a walkout last week over allegations of bullying and intimidation by managing company Sita, which controls recycling sites on behalf of Kirklees Council.
But the strike was postponed while talks continue, though workers’ union Unite said another could take place on Monday if the issue was not resolved.

Sita denies the claims, but has met Unite members and said it hopes for an amicable conclusion.
