Children have been swapping computers for a classic table football game at Holy Spirit School.
Yorkshire Phoenix Table Football Club has been running weekly sessions at the Heckmondwike school, and at Heckmondwike Bowling Club.
Russ Harker, from the club, said: “Around 20 pupils are regularly swapping their Xbox and PlayStation for the iconic figures and classic green baize pitch of Subbuteo, choosing to compete against each other on a weekly basis.
“It’s been very popular so far. The pupils have taken this classic game to their hearts and are keen to learn.
“Some just play for fun but some may go on to play in national competitions and represent Yorkshire. We regularly host competitions and also travel to compete against Europe’s best players.”
Russ said the team won the International Scottish Open in Glasgow last month, with members Paul Lawrenson, Martin Hodds, Mark Farrell, Tony McCann and himself winning the team event. Russ also won the plate trophy for individuals.
He said: “The Yorkshire collective inflicted a crushing defeat on local boys Tayside Kickers in the final.”
