Tattoo clue in sexual assault

A WOMAN was punched and dragged to the floor before being subjected to an alleged sexual assault.

The 20-year-old was walking along Holdsworth Street, Cleckheaton, when she was approached by two men. One of the men punched her and then dragged her down to the floor before she was attacked.

Police believe the suspects were disturbed and then ran off. The victim was left shaken but otherwise unharmed.

The incident happened around 10pm on Sunday January 23 but police have only just released details. One of her attackers is white, in his late 20s, slim and around 5ft 7ins tall.

He had short, scruffy black hair and a short beard and moustache.

He was wearing black jeans and a pink and white, short-sleeved chequered shirt.

He also had a full Celtic tattoo down his right arm.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information are asked to contact Det Con Cath Lowdon at Dewsbury CID on 01924 431095 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
