Teenager lands top role at firm

A teenager from Mirfield has landed a managing director role with a Huddersfield-based marketing agency.

Mirfield girl Erika Maybury, 19, has been appointed as the new MD of Hollywood Agency.

The former Castle Hall Academy student left Greenhead College with 4 A Levels and since then has spent her time immersing herself into the world of marketing and winning numerous clients for the agency.

The company, which was established this year, offers web development, graphic design, social media, video and print services.

Although the Huddersfield company is new, it has an eight-strong team which has well over 60 years of industry knowledge between them.

Hollywood Agency has already won some well-known clients such as Huddersfield Town FC, Holmebuild, Dixon and Franks and PMW Quarries. A spokesman for Hollywood Agency said: “Erika brings to the agency a true passion for marketing and the language skills to allow her to work closely with Hollywood Agency’s international clients.

“The new MD’s expertise lie within social media and marketing but she has an exceptionally skilled team behind her, which allow the agency to offer such a vast range of services.”
