The sun was shining for this year’s Upper Hopton Village Fete and Heritage Exhibition.
There was something for everyone at the village event, designed to attract children, families and anyone interested in local heritage.
There was brass band mist, Morris dancing, a show from Punch and Judy, Tug-o-War, coconut shy, stocks and wet sponges, falconry, face painting and children’s games, to name just a few.
Heritage exhibitions were held throughout the day along with a presentation on the history of St John’s Church.
Upper Hopton Cricket Club also kept young visitors entertained with a number of fun children’s games on the recreation ground while Upper Hopton Club staged an exhibition of coins, memorabilia, photographs and genealogy.
