THREE women have been injured in an accident in Gomersal this afternoon (Friday).
Fire crews, paramedics and police were called to the accident which happened around 2.30pm on Oxford Road and involved a Fiat Panda and a Saab.
The road was closed for more than an hour as firefighters cut the two occupants of the Fiat out of their vehicle. They were taken to hospital where one is being treated for neck and back injuries and the other for injuries to her head and elbow. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of the Saab received minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
Watch Commander Danian Cameron from Cleckheaton said: “We had to remove the side and roof from the Fiat so we could free the occupants, but they were both conscious and able to give us good information throughout the rescue.
“All three emergency services worked well together to help those involved.”
The road has now been re-opened
