The owner of a Cleckheaton business is offering £500 for the safe return of three stolen bouncy castles.

Tyran Taylor was preparing for a busy bouncy castle season, but was horrified when he left his house last Tuesday morning to find that three castles, four blowers and a generator were stolen.

Mr Taylor had locked his van the previous night at his home in Odsal, but woke the next morning to find that, although his van was still there, the equipment had all been stolen.

The kit will cost Tyran about £3,500 to replace and, with bouncy castle manufacturers busy with orders, he will have to wait around five weeks for new ones to be made, making him miss much of the season.

He said: “I will probably have to get a loan to replace these, but cash has been really tight recently – we had the worst summer in 100 years last year, so that hurt the business.
