People can travel free on selected bus journeys this weekend.

Arriva Yorkshire is offering free bus rides to anyone who boards its 268 and 268a MAX service on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The service will run without charge between 10am and 12pm between Heckmondwike, Dewsbury Wakefield and Bradford and operates every 30 minutes.

Arriva’s regional managing director Nigel Featham said: “This really is a no strings attached offer, you don’t need a voucher or a promotional code, just turn up between the advertised times and you’ll pay absolutely nothing. We want as many people as possible to get out and about this bank holiday, and what better way than trying the new link into Wakefield on our new MAX buses, with free WIFI, comfortable seating and our travel app right at your fingertips.”

The limited offer has been rolled out as part of the firm’s expansion of its 268 bus route.
