A 24-year-old woman is in hospital after suffering spinal, hip and shoulder injuries in a traffic collision in Liversedge today (Saturday).

Two fire crews from Batley and Cleckheaton were called out to the accident, which involved three cars, in Halifax Road in the Hightown area at 11.23am.

Watch commander of Cleckheaton Fire Station Darren Hayley said the car the woman was in had to be stabalised before they removed glass and cut the vehicle’s roof off - allowing her to be taken away on a stretcher.
