Catholics from all over the Leeds Diocese and beyond will come to Batley on Monday for the annual torchlight procession.
They will be joined by people of other faiths too for the event which starts at 7.30pm in Batley Market Square, with a service led by Mgs John Wilson, the Diocesan Administrator.
Following the service those taking part will process to St Mary of the Angels Church in Cross Bank for Benediction.
Afterwards there will be a supper of pie and peas at St Mary’s Parochial Hall.
The procession was started in 1951 by Father Gallon as an act of public worship and a display of witness to the Catholic faith.
