The Bible isn’t well known for its laugh out loud moments.
But a trio of comedians have used the historical tome as inspiration for their bestselling show.
The Reduced Shakespeare Company is bringing its famed production The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) to Wakefield Theatre Royal on Tuesday April 8.
Hailed as an affectionate, irreverent rollercoaster ride from fig leaves to Final Judgment, the Bad Boys of Abridgement promise to tackle the great theological questions: Did Adam and Eve have navels? Did Moses really look like Charlton Heston? And why isn’t the word ‘phonetic’ spelled the way it sounds?
Tickets are £14.50 to £18 and concessions are available.
