LETTER: Tracy Brabin has ability to engage with everybody

All our clients and group members are survivors of torture from around the world; their needs are psychological, practical, legal, and emotional and it takes enormous effort to rebuild their trust in humanity and the confidence to take their place in the world.

Tracy was a volunteer mentor with the group, tirelessly committed to the welfare of her clients, creative in her approach to their problems, always available and always interested in the issues they brought to her.

She nurtured them all into becoming once again productive, confident and successful contributors to society.

Not to mention that radiant smile, which is no actor’s front but the manifestation of an optimistic belief in finding the good in any person or situation.

I have no doubt at all that as an MP, Tracy would manifest that same commitment to the good of every one of her constituents.

She has the gift of being able to engage with everybody, from the grandest to the least confident, which will stand her in good stead not only in the constituency but in Westminster as well.

I wish I lived there to vote for her.
