Our heartfelt thanks

We would like to thank the following people for all their help and support during our daughter Shannon’s illness (“She was our perfect girl” – Spenborough Guardian, April 1) – sadly she died on March 14:

Make a Dream for taking her to Disneyland, Paris and Starlight for a London shopping spree and for a star named after Shannon.

Val for the pink limo trip and for memorable portraits, and my family and friends for their charitable support and help.

Nicola Williams, her family and friends for the charity event at Batley Working Men’s Club.

Doctors Sue Picton and Simon and all other staff that helped through Shannon’s illness and also a big thanks to Martin Hemingway and other Macmillan nurses.

Thank you to everyone that came to Shannon’s funeral and made a donation to help support the new lab that’s been opened for brain tumour research at Leeds General Infirmary.

Thank you to Vicky and other member of the Co-operative Funeral Directors in Heckmondwike for being so understanding and for taking good care of Shannon. Is it very much appreciated.

Thank you to Anthony, the vicar of Staincliffe Church in Staincliffe Hall Road, for a lovely service and also for his generous donation.

Thank you to the teachers at Shannon’s school, Westmoor Junior in Dewsbury Moor, for making a collection for a Hummer limousine to take Shannon and all the girls from her class to Pizza Hut.
