Running the country is like running a business

Re D Miller’s letter in last week’s Guardian ”Unpleasant effects of cuts” I just cannot believe people can be so biased in their thinking.

His views should have been printed in red.

Schools are needed. Bring back grammar schools as soon as possible.

Running the country is no different to running a business. Spend more than your business earns and your business will go bankrupt (Labour spending policies).

Union people only think of their own wage packet while the man running the union wants a much larger wage for himself.

The “Me Me Me” brigade, none of these people would or could run a genuine business.

And “YES” I have been in unions in my working life.

Of course we all want more income where possible, including councillors, but not at the expense of bankruptcy.
